The sixth and final episode of Claire Moreau Moves Abroad looks back on Claire’s first six months in Groningen. After documenting her search for housing, a job, friendships, romance and student life, the camera crew asks one final question: what has she learned?

In Moving On, Claire and the people she met along the way reflect on the experiences that shaped their time in Groningen. Their answers range from humorous observations about student life to more personal reflections on friendship, homesickness, independence and growing up.

The finale revisits many of the themes explored throughout the series. Claire explains why the people around you matter more than the place you live, while her housemates, classmates and colleagues each share their own lessons from life as students and young adults. Familiar faces also return one last time, bringing the mockumentary’s trademark awkward humour with them.

Created by first-year International Communication student Alec Salomon, Claire Moreau Moves Abroad follows a French student during her first months in Groningen while a film crew documents her experiences for a fictional Hanze campaign. Across six episodes, the series combines comedy with recognisable moments from international student life, covering everything from moving into a student house and finding work to loneliness, dating and building a new life abroad.

The series concludes with Claire looking ahead rather than back. Her first months in Groningen may be over, but as she tells the camera, she intends to ‘keep moving’.
