New series premiering: Claire Moreau has arrived in Groningen!

The first episode of Claire Moreau Moves Abroad follows the French exchange student as she moves into her new student house in Groningen, meets her roommates and discovers that Dutch student life might be stranger than expected.

Claire quickly learns that finding housing in Groningen comes with surprises. One roommate is moving out, her mattress has suspicious stains, and the camera crew refuses to leave her alone for more than five minutes.

The mockumentary series, created by Alec Salomon, a first-year International Communication student at Hanze, follows Claire Moreau during her first months as an international student in Groningen, while a group of filmmaking students documents her experiences for a fictional Hanze campaign.

Over the course of the series, viewers follow Claire as she navigates different parts of student life in Groningen. Future episodes focus on topics including attending classes, finding a job, exploring the city and adjusting to life far away from home. While the series leans heavily into awkward humour and mockumentary-style comedy, it also plays with recognisable experiences many international students face when arriving in a new country.

New episodes of Claire Moreau Moves Abroad will appear weekly on YouTube until July.
