Hanze asks: Shit kebab?

Dutch consumers association “Consumentenbond” recommends to avoid eating doner kebabs for people with reduced resistance to infection, like the elderly and pregnant women, because of the high levels of bacteria found in the meat.

The organisation tested 49 different doner kebab places in Groningen, Utrecht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Breda. They found, in half of them, bacteria which could make people ill. In five cases the bacteria was even associated with faeces.
