Video Games and Cerebral Palsy
Jeroen Beersma has Cerebral Palsy, a brain injury he sustained during birth due to a lack of oxygen. He loves playing games, but because he has to use his headrest as a controller, games have to be specifically designed for him. Jeroen started to get a bit tired of the old games he played for years, so his father decided to contact Hanze UAS, to see if there were students that could design new games for him.
Students of Game Design took on the challenge and designed several new games for Jeroen. We followed one student team during their process to create the game Astro Trip.
